Rescue: Mayday
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
Bring a friend and venture through the skies together! Will you be the hero of the day? Be the brave Pilot and lead the aircraft through the menacing stormy skies. Play as the crafty Engineer and pay close attention to the surroundings.
This is the prototype of a game developed within research work. Gameplay is based on the collaboration between two players who play asymmetric roles. One role (the Pilot) implies an entirely auditory challenge (blind accessible) and the other (the Engineer) implies a visual challenge. The game was designed as an inclusive game experience for players with mixed visual abilities.
Safe flights!

Hi. I tried to play this with a friend, but he’s using a mac and it feels like something is missing. He can’t find any executable file. We’d love it if you could check if something’s wrong, because we’d love to play it. It’s fine in the windows zip (which I’m using) but not for the Mac.
Hi Patrícia! I don't have a Mac right now to test if it actually executes correctly, but supposedly there's an executable file located in "rescue_up > Contents > MacOS". If you don't find it or if it doesn't execute, let me know. The same applies to the other game where you left a comment, Rescue: Under Pressure.
We found a file with that name in that folder ramification, but it wasn’t an executable. He tried to execute it but it wouldn’t execute. On my end (Windows) I don’t know if I’m supposed to see an executable, but Windows said the file’s type was “File”, and it had about 8.57 kB of size.
I hope you can help! We spent quite a bit of time yesterday trying to figure this out (remotely) but had to give up.
Also, I believe we’ve talked before, but I may have lost our email thread. I’m Patrícia, from Portugal and I talked with someone from your team over email a couple years back. Maybe in 2024. I may have been talking through my university account, which is why I lost the emails. But if you find it, could you maybe forward the latest email to me (the address will be the same, except @gmail.com).
That is, if I’m talking with the same person I did over email, haha.
You are! I'm David, I remember that email exchange (I forwarded the thread to your gmail) :) I'm installing Unity to see if I can make a new build for Mac. It's difficult for me to get access to a Mac so I can test it, but I will try to help!
Ah, thank you! It wasn’t my university email, then, I just overlooked it and didn’t find it. Ok, we’ll be waiting for updates on the game!
Here’s another note. He suspects that this build may have been made for an older type of Mac with Intel processors and said this could be what’s causing the problem: “the new Mac’s are using what’s known as the silicon series of microprocessors, the current ones are basically the M3, M4 and M5. I’ve got the M4.”
